Wedding Shows!
We all know them & love them, but they can get a bit stressful from time to time! Winter is prime Engagement season, surrounded by the ones we love and care about. But, let’s talk about how to tackle Wedding Shows as a Bride, soon-to-be Bride, or simply a Bridesmaid. The more you know going into the show, the more you can genuinely ENJOY it!
Start at the beginning! Wedding Shows are typically laid out pretty easily for you to make your way up and down the aisles of different vendors catering to your needs. That being said, they are not always set up in the best way for Brides. Different vendors are typically laid out at different locations, for example, one Wedding Planner may be on one end of the room, another on the opposite end, and another in the middle. As you make your way down the aisles, we recommend circling the entire room and taking in all of the different options of different categories of vendors present, then going back to the ones you want to chat with for a longer time!
Know what you have booked & work from there! Start with your biggest vendors, without a Venue, you do not have a Date fully booked. Once booking a Venue, move onto a Wedding Planner, if you believe you will do most of the planning yourself, consider a Day Of Coordinator to relieve the stress and questions on the Day Of. Again, you cannot & we do not want you to be everywhere at once! Relax, soak in & enjoy every second of your Wedding Day, for it goes so very quickly!
Create a Wedding G-Mail account, it’s Free! So many vendors at Wedding Shows send you promotional information after the Show, it can get a bit overwhelming if you begin to mix this with your personal life email. Having a separate email account specifically for your Wedding will reduce clutter & keep your life 10x more organized! Another helpful tip, make that email username short and sweet, you end up writing it down over 100 times throughout the Wedding Show, and your wrist will thank you later.
Plan Ahead! Not only know what vendors you are still needing, but do research ahead of time and research vendors you may be interested in booking at the show. The Wedding Shows typically post out what vendors are participating in their show ahead of time. Most vendors give you discounts if you book at the Wedding Show, so take advantage of these discounts and know your plan ahead of time.
Enjoy it! If you are a first-timer, soak in every minute! Be ready to repeat “I’m the Bride!,” your Wedding date, your Wedding Venue, & your Engagement Story at least 50 times throughout the afternoon. In the end, we are all here to help you have your dream day & are honored you chose us to be a little part of your very big day!
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT!
